From the psychedelic experience a new style of art emerged as artists sought to express the transcendental Synesthesia and comic joy of the experience to those who had “never been experienced”.

Posters, buttons,  album art and underground comics were the main outlets of expression utilized. New design elements and old were fused in novel combinations to catch the eye and delight or enlighten. Every surface in a hippie home might be decorated in a collection of items to delight the eyes and wonder.
